DBS appoints London-based global transaction banking head

DBS has named former Lloyds Banking Group executive Matt Burns as head of global transaction services in London.

Burns joins after 17 years at Lloyds, where he held a range of transaction banking roles across both product and sales. He most recently served as managing director, global transaction banking sales for corporate and institutional clients.

DBS says Burns is tasked with leading the continued growth of its transaction banking business across relevant markets.

He reports to Stewart Boyd, UK country chief executive for DBS.

“Having worked with DBS as a partner bank over the past few years, I have always been impressed by their culture and commitment to innovation,” Burns says. “I am delighted to be joining such a world-class organisation.”
