Trade finance fintech Komgo has made Tim-Emilien Tran Ngoc managing director for Asia Pacific.

Tran Ngoc, previously global head of business development and marketing, has relocated to Singapore for the role. He reports to Baptiste Audren, Komgo’s chief revenue officer.

Tran Ngoc will lead the company’s strategy and operations in Asia, Komgo said, “with a focus on strengthening relationships with financial institutions and corporates across the region”.

Before joining Komgo in 2019, Tran Ngoc was a managing consultant at IBM in Paris, and prior to that worked at software developer Nomalys.

He succeeds Nicolas Djelalian, who is moving to Geneva to become Komgo’s chief operating officer.

Earlier this year Komgo hired from Siemens for a new head of sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and later appointed Alex Pritchard-Smith to head up the company’s US office in Miami.
