Export finance lawyers among new Norton Rose Fulbright partners

Law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the promotion of two export finance lawyers to partner status, beginning next year.

London-based Matthew Bambury and Olivia Cullen (pictured) will become partners at the firm on January 1, 2026. Both are currently counsel.

Bambury has “significant experience” advising shipping companies, banks, export credit agencies and other institutions on shipping finance, including export credit agency (ECA)-backed deals, the firm said in a statement.

His experience includes sovereign and untied ECA financing.

Cullen is also focused on shipping and offshore, the firm said, and “regularly advises borrowers, lenders and export credit agencies on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions, and has significant experience in the financing of vessel and offshore equipment, as well as other project and asset finance matters”.

Cullen completed an 11-month secondment as a legal adviser at UK Export Finance in 2023-24, according to her LinkedIn profile.

The pair are among 51 lawyers that will join Norton Rose Fulbright’s partnership next year across 22 of the firm’s offices, the statement said.
