Standard Bank has appointed Kazunari Sugimoto as head of resource banking for Japan.
Sugimoto was previously head of both Lehman Brothers “and Enron’s commodity businesses in Japan.
His appointment follows the recent hiring of Elena Kochetkova to the Standard’s Moscow operation, where she will be developing the group’s finance and metals activities in Russia. Kochetkova was previously treasurer of Sual’s Komi project.
