Jordan International Bank names trade finance head

Peter Hampson has been named head of trade finance at Jordan International Bank.

Hampson is based in the lender’s head office in London and reports to chief executive Nasser Tarawneh.

In the new role, he will be responsible for strengthening the bank’s support for corporate and financial institution clients with a range of trade finance solutions.

Hampson will also be tasked with driving business growth, enhancing client relationships and expanding the bank’s trade finance offering.

He joins from Sky British Enterprises, a trade finance solutions firm, where he was senior executive advisor.

Hampson said: “I am delighted to be joining Jordan International Bank and look forward to working with colleagues and clients to build on the Bank’s strong trade finance franchise.

“Trade finance plays a critical role in facilitating international commerce, and I am excited to contribute to the continued growth of the business and the support we provide to our customers.”

Previously, he spent seven years at BACB and three years at Crown Agents Bank.
